Welcome to Work at Home Crafter
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Jen, and I’ve been working from home selling my crafts for the past 25 years. What started as a way to bring in some extra income while staying home with my kids turned into a lifelong journey of creativity, entrepreneurship, and purpose.
Over the years, I’ve sold on just about every platform you can think of. I’ve learned what works, what doesn’t, and how to build a sustainable small business from the kitchen table (often with a kid on my lap and a glue gun in hand!). And now, I’m here to help you do the same.
More and more moms are looking for ways to stay home with their kids and still contribute to the family income. I know how overwhelming that can feel when you’re just starting out. That’s why I created Work at Home Crafter—to share what I’ve learned, offer real resources, and show you that building a handmade business from home really is possible.
What You’ll Find Here
This blog is all about helping you start and grow your own craft-based business. I’ll be sharing:
-
Step-by-step guides for getting your business off the ground
-
Craft tutorials and product ideas you can actually sell
-
Marketing tips that are simple and doable
-
Freebies and printables to help organize and launch your business
-
And most importantly—encouragement from someone who’s been there
You’ll also find ready-to-go resources in my shop like commercial use printables, templates, and laser cutting files. These are designed to help you skip the overwhelm and jump right into creating things you can sell. No guesswork, no fluff—just real tools to get you moving forward.
This Is a Community, Not a Lecture
I don’t want this blog to be a one-sided conversation. I want to hear from you—your questions, your wins, what’s working for you, and what you’re still figuring out. Leave comments, share your stories, and let’s support each other. I’ll be right here cheering you on.
Eventually, I plan to start a Facebook group so we can connect even more, but for now, let’s chat in the comments!
Just Getting Started
Right now, I’m focused on filling this space with as much helpful content as I can. My goal for the next year is to provide valuable, practical info that helps you take real steps toward building your business. This isn’t about get-rich-quick schemes. It’s about building something meaningful and lasting—with your own two hands.
So whether you’re dreaming of staying home with your kids, looking to lighten the financial load, or simply craving a creative outlet that brings in income, I’m here to help.
Let’s get to work—together.
With love,
Jen, founder of Work at Home Crafter
